A Batch of GN High Shear Circular Vibrating Screen for Overseas Silica Sand Classification

GN Separation is excited to announce the completion of a new batch of High Shear Circular Screens, designed to meet the demanding requirements of silicon sand grading. These screening machines are currently in the final stages of assembly and factory testing. Once successfully completed, they will be shipped to an overseas client, ready to optimize the efficiency and quality of their silicon sand processing operations.

The High Shear Circular Screens developed by GN Separation feature a unique design, utilizing a single vibration motor as the excitation source, coupled with a Rosta damping device. This configuration enables the screen box to vibrate in a near-circular motion, delivering superior screening efficiency compared to traditional linear or elliptical vibratory screens. The circular motion subjects particles to greater shear forces, enhancing separation and minimizing blinding, a common challenge in silicon sand grading.

A key strength of GN’s High Shear Circular Screens is their robust construction and use of durable materials. Both the interior and exterior of the screen deck are coated with a polyurea spray-on lining, offering exceptional wear resistance and corrosion protection, vital for handling the abrasive and corrosive nature of silicon sand. This advanced coating not only protects the parts in contact with the material but also extends the overall lifespan of the equipment, reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

The design of these screens also features tensioned bolts for the installation of polyurethane flexible screen mesh. This system allows for fast and easy screen replacements on-site, enhancing operational efficiency. The high open area of the polyurethane screens maximizes throughput while ensuring precise particle separation. The easy change-out process helps maintenance teams address wear and tear quickly, minimizing production disruptions.
