Fermentation Broth Tubular Centrifuge Factory Testing before Shipment to Overseas Client

This week, GN Separation is conducting factory testing on two units of the GNGQ150 high-speed Tubular centrifuges, soon to be delivered to an international client. These advanced centrifuges are designed for the efficient separation of fermentation broths, a critical step in producing biopharmaceuticals, enzymes, and other biologically derived products.

The GNGQ150 operates at an impressive rotational speed of 14,000 RPM, achieving a separation factor of up to 15,000G. This allows for precise and effective solid-liquid separation, making it an essential tool in industries that require high-quality separation processes.

How Tubular Centrifuges Work

Tubular centrifuges function using centrifugal force, which separates components based on their size and density. When the mixture enters the spinning tube, heavier particles (solids) are pushed outward toward the wall, while lighter particles (liquids) stay closer to the center. This results in a clear separation, with the clarified liquid exiting through an outlet while solids remain in the bowl for later removal and cleaning.

Applications of the GNGQ150 Tubular Centrifuge

The GNGQ150 model stands out for its versatility and efficiency, making it a valuable asset in a variety of industries:

  1. Biopharmaceutical Production: Essential for separating cells and debris from fermentation broths in the manufacturing of vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, and other therapeutic products.
  2. Enzyme Purification: Provides gentle yet effective separation, preserving enzymatic activity while ensuring high yields for applications like food processing and biofuel production.
  3. Microbial Harvesting: Facilitates efficient harvesting of microbial cells for products such as biofertilizers, probiotics, and bioplastics.
  4. Wastewater Treatment: Helps separate and concentrate pollutants or by-products from fermentation wastewater, supporting environmental compliance and resource recovery.
  5. Food and Beverage Industry: Enhances the clarity and quality of products like dairy, fruit juices, and other liquid food items.

Design and Material Excellence

The GNGQ150 is constructed with stainless steel 304 for all material contact parts, ensuring exceptional hygiene, durability, and resistance to corrosion. These qualities are critical in biological and food-grade applications, demonstrating GN Separation’s dedication to meeting the highest industry standards.

Commitment to Innovation and Quality

By combining advanced engineering with a customer-centric approach, GN Separation continues to set new benchmarks in separation technology. The GNGQ150 high-speed tubular centrifuge exemplifies this commitment, empowering clients across the globe to achieve superior performance in their operations.

GN Containerized Sludge Dewatering Package for Soil Remediation in Middle East

GN Separation has recently completed the assembly of a containerized sludge dewatering system designed specifically for oil-contaminated soil remediation. This system is set to be shipped to a client in the Middle East and offers an innovative solution for managing the sludge generated during soil washing processes, particularly in oil spill cleanups and industrial site rehabilitation.
