GN Separation has recently completed the production and inspection of a batch of GNSP20B Solids Vacuum Pumps, which are now ready for shipment to an international customer. The successful completion of this order further demonstrates GN’s manufacturing capabilities in pneumatic solids conveying and its ability to provide reliable material transfer equipment for demanding industrial applications.
The GNSP20B GN Solids Vacuum Pumps is a medium-capacity pneumatic solids vacuum pump developed for transferring sludge, slurry, solids, powder, and other difficult-to-handle materials. Unlike conventional pumps with rotating components, the GNSP20B uses compressed air to generate vacuum for material loading and positive pressure for discharge. This simple operating principle allows the pump to handle materials with high solids content while minimizing mechanical wear and maintenance requirements.
With a maximum conveying capacity of approximately 20 m³/h for water, the GNSP20B can achieve a discharge distance of up to 500 meters under suitable operating conditions. The pump can generate a vacuum of up to 25 inHg and is designed to operate with compressed air at approximately 550–690 kPa. Actual conveying capacity and distance depend on material characteristics, pipeline configuration, elevation, and other site conditions.
GN Solids Vacuum Pumps is available in three standard models: GNSP10B, GNSP20B, and GNSP40B, with nominal capacities of 10 m³/h, 20 m³/h, and 40 m³/h respectively. GN can also develop multiple-pump systems mounted on a common skid when a project requires higher conveying capacity or centralized material transfer.
One of the major advantages of the GNSP20B is its versatility. The pump can be used for sludge transfer, drilling waste handling, mining slurry conveying, tank and pit cleaning, and the recovery of accumulated solids. Other applications include oil sludge and tank-bottom residue transfer, hazardous waste recovery, sand handling, animal waste transfer, and the transportation of waste solids generated by shale shakers, mud cleaners, and centrifuges.
The compact design of the GNSP20B also makes it convenient for installation and movement around industrial sites. The model is equipped with wheels and a handrail, allowing operators to reposition the unit when required. Its pneumatic operating design eliminates the need for an electric motor on the pump itself, making it particularly suitable for challenging working environments where flexible equipment deployment is important.
Before shipment, the completed GNSP20B units undergo inspection and quality checks to verify their manufacturing quality and configuration. GN pays close attention to equipment reliability and operational performance throughout the production process, ensuring that the pumps are prepared for dependable service at the customer’s site.
The completion of this shipment once again reflects GN Separation’s focus on practical solids handling solutions.
