GNLW654 Mining Tailing Dewatering Centrifuge System to South America

GN Separation has recently completed the manufacturing and factory testing of a tailing slurry dewatering decanter centrifuge system, which is now ready for shipment to a client in South America.

At the core of this system is the GNLW654-VFD dewatering decanter centrifuge, a large-scale model in GN Separation’s range. With a bowl diameter of 650mm, this centrifuge is powered by a dual-motor configuration for reliable and efficient performance. The system features a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) control cabinet, equipped with a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and a user-friendly touchscreen interface. This setup allows operators to adjust the centrifuge’s rotational speed to meet site-specific conditions, ensuring optimized separation results for varying mineral and slurry types.

The GNLW654-VFD decanter centrifuge also includes a Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for real-time monitoring and adjustment of settings, improving control and efficiency. Additionally, the system is equipped with a range of monitoring devices, including temperature sensors, vibration sensors, and audible-visual indicators, providing constant feedback on the centrifuge’s operational status and ensuring safe, efficient operation.

To further improve separation efficiency and solid particle capture, GN Separation has paired the GNLW654-VFD decanter centrifuge with the GNSJY6000 flocculation dosing system. This system, with its 6000-liter reagent tank, is designed to enhance fine particle aggregation for better separation from the slurry. The GNSJY6000 uses flocculants to neutralize the surface charges of the particles, causing them to form larger clusters. These clusters are then easily separated by the centrifuge, leading to clearer separation liquids and improved water recovery. By optimizing the flocculation process, the system boosts centrifuge performance while promoting environmental sustainability by minimizing waste and improving resource recovery.

The integration of the GNLW654-VFD dewatering centrifuge with the GNSJY6000 flocculation dosing system offers a comprehensive solution to the challenges of tailings dewatering, including high moisture content, particle size variability, and the need for efficient water recycling. By precisely controlling both the flocculation and centrifuge processes, operators can achieve consistent, predictable separation results, ultimately improving productivity and reducing operational costs.

This project showcases GN Separation’s commitment to innovation and its customer-centric approach. The company’s ability to customize solutions for specific client needs, along with its deep expertise in the mining sector, solidifies its position as a trusted partner in advancing sustainable and efficient mineral processing practices.
